Samsung Galaxy - Cracked Screen Defect, not dropped, Note 3 & Note 2, S4 & S3

Hi, I have the same problem. I bought a Galaxy3 at Metro PCS . When I arrived home , I had note a crack on the screen, I thought it was a hair, but no, when I revised well , it was a crack . The next day ( second day of purchase) I went to MetroPCS . I was treated like a thief because I wanted to replace the phone . The manager told me I had thrown out to the floor, because in addition it had one scratch at the top that I had not even seen . The manager, dared to tell me I was not welcome there and told me to get out the store because I was trying to fool them. I went to the police and was told that there was no crime , they could not help me. I call 8 times in a span of 5 hours to Metro PCS and I was attended taking 2 report but I was sent to the insurance company( $ 5 dollars a month ) they told me I had to pay $ 127 for it because it was not their fault that I drop it , but I do not drop it ! I explained ,I sat in a chair and I was checking to see how the phone works when I found this crack. I thought it was a shadow or Samsung design . Finally, I want to be in that class ! .Specially because I think Metro PCS sells refurbished phones ( which I don't care if this is less expensive ) and possibly in my case, the Manager dropped this phone and so he treated me so bad for his defense.
Please sorry about my English.

Sorry to hear that.
Take a picture of your phone with the sale receipt and keep it safe.
Now to see if it is a refurbished phone. I am wondering if you called samsung to see if that phone has been registered before...

And how much did you pay?
Was it cheaper at that store compare to some other store? Was it sold as refurbished phone?

There was 435.99, plus charger and "screen protector" It is cheaper, I do not know why ( that`s I am thinking they are refurbished..) will be very interesting find out why..... They sell it like new, there is not reference about refurbished ( this is my opinion) you can see it online at their Web page.
I will take a pic later, I am charging camera battery..
I never have called Samsung, I thought this will be the same answer, nobody help....
I always used Samsung ( except my time with BB , I decided to go back to Samsung, but see what happened) and this happen to me because my son told me, it was better than Iphone, which is not true... of course.

Is the phone locked to the carrier? If yes the carrier would know if it was activated before

How do I join the Class Action lawsuit. The same happened to my daughters phone it cracked for no reason at all. We r getting nowhere with carrier or Samsung.

Price seems weird, especially because the s4 sells for $549 on metropcs website.

Lesson learned is that you should check carefully before leaving the store.

Hey I was hoping someone knew if there was a way to buy and change out a cracked screen for a Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, we didn't have insurance and I dropped and cracked it, I was hoping to just replace the screen, I saw your post about a cracked screen and was hoping someone had some advice for me too! THANKS, good luck finding some answers to your issues.

I specifically signed up for this site, for this exact issue.
Yesterday, i bought the Samsung note 3 from a t mobile store. The phone itself is beautiful, works great, and feels great, even though i had to do a hard reset once already.

Anyway, last night, i went to bed with the heater in my room and the humidifier on low. the phone is nowhere near either of them. my phone was plugged into the charger around 11 PM and I woke up around 6 AM. Since the heater is only in my room, the room leading out was cold. According to my girlfriend who was still in bed, next to the phone, she said she heard a crack as soon as i opened the door to leave and the cold breeze came in.

When I realized it was my phone's screen that made the sound, i felt like it was my heart that cracked :(
I called T mobile immediately, and they said since it weas physical damage and the phone was still functional , they can't replace it. My insurance through Asurion said i have to pay around 170 to replace the phone, EVEN THOUGH THEY ACCEPTED THAT I DIDNT CAUSE THE DAMAGE AND ITS BEEN ONE DAY SINCE I BOUGHT THE PHONE
Naturally, i was furious, so my next reasonable step was to call Samsung. I called them up and the rep was surprisingly helpful, even though i was at a rage at that point. She apologized about the inconvenience immensely. She said that she would send me a UPS label to send the phone in, and upon inspection (somehow prove i didn't drop it? ) they would repair the phone, at no cost to me. i just could be without the phone for up to 11 business days, which is worth it at this point.

The weird thing is, she put the phone as a LCD discoloration. She said if she put it in as a Screen Crack or physical damage, that I would have to guarantee pay for it. When i asked why she did this, how the tech would know what my actual problem was, she just ensured my phone would be in %100 working order. Kind of seems like she worked her way around to assist me, so i didnt push to get a definitive explanation.

Model Number : SM-*********
Serial Number : *****************
Product Symptoms : Screen / Display/LCD / Touch Panel / LED/LCD Discoloration
Warranty : In Warranty

anyway, hopes this helps the next Note 3 owner who's phone cracked out of nowhere!!

Let us know how it goes. I am afraid that the csr was just trying to get you off her back, and when they receive the phone, they would deny warranty. Admittedly I am a pessimist, but I do hope you the best.
