Samsung Galaxy Light stuck on T Mobile screen

[AC Question]

So, this morning, after doing a Samsung/T-Mobile update my phone is stuck on one of the screens that pops up when you turn the phone on. I've tried to leave the battery out and then turn it back on, but it still gets stuck on the same screen (white background with "T Mobile 4G LTE" on it).

I called T-Mobile, they had me "wipe cache partition" but it didn't do anything to change what was happening. Now they say I need a full factory reset. I REALLY don't want to have to do that :-( Any thoughts?

I don't know how to help, but if you find another solution please post. My dad's galaxy light is having the same problem.

My dads Light is doing the same thing. Started last week. I tried the wipe cache option and it gives an error and restarts. Haven't tried a factory reset yet either.

If a Cache Partition wipe is no go, there isn't much left but a Factory Reset, and if that doesn't do it, you may need to reflash the stock firmware. Either way, personal data not backed up beforehand would be lost.
