Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - Anyway to disable handsfree mode when pairing with bluetooth in car?

When I first got my Note 3 this worked great. I could get in the car and manually start bluetooth and it was fine. Now, every time the phone pairs with the car handsfree mode starts up. Did this start happening with the ATT update? I know a lot of people were upset because 4.3 supposedly got rid of the automatic handsfree startup.

I've turned off hand free mode and looked my every setting in voice or bluetooth but haven't found anything.

I have a Galaxy S4 with Telus and installed the 4.3 upgrade a couple of days ago and noticed the same problem. I unpaired and then re-paired the phone with my Ford F-150. Then on my phone I went into Settings/More/Location Services/My Places/Car and disassociated my phone with the car.

Seems to have fixed it.

What if you just do a 2 finger slide down from the top and you Can both enable bluetooth and disable hands free.

Nah, I'm too OCD to have to disable hands free every time I connect to my vehicle. I never use the native hands free on my Samsung... I use the Ford SYNC hands free. I just want the bluetooth connection to work seamlessly & invisibly.

HI mode has never auto started on my Note 3. I would try removing it from your systems bluetooth list and pair it again. HF mode is a big flake anyway. I was excited about using it but a simple one sentence text can take a whole mile to finally work.

I do believe I have solved the hands free mode issue. I have a Samsung note 3. This is what I did to get rid of this issue and I haven't seen a recurrence of the problem in the last 72 hours. I turn my phone off several times I restarted the phone several times just to make sure. So far, everything's working just as it used to. Here's what I did...
I recognized that the problem would reinitialize everytime I came back into my own wifi. Would re initialize every time I came back into my own wifi zone. My phone would reconnect to wifi as it does every other day and as soon as the logon was complete the hands free mode would initialize. What I figured out is the problem was not the hands free mode so much as it was locations and location services like My Locations. Before I began experiencing problems with hands free mode I had saved a few locations under the My Locations Service. So, for whatever reason every time I would enter or exit my wifi area hands free mode would associate leaving my wifi area with being in my car so it would drop it into driving mode. And here's where the irritation begins...
Since my router is a bit flaky and likes to drop the connection and then re-aquire it. This was happening about every 15 minutes in my house. I would shut off the hands free mode and 10 or 15 minutes later it pops back on. After reading a few posts on here someone else mentioned something about location services and my locations. Upon investigation I found that I had associated my car with my wifi at this location. And therein lies the rub.
The answer?
The answer was simply to delete all the entries under my locations, restart the phone and go back to enjoying my Samsung Note 3 the way it used to be. No, I didn't have to do a hard reset, I didn't have to root anything, and I didn't have to sit for hours on end with Samsung's Tech support for hours on end, not knowing what I was talking about. Simply delete all the entries under my locations and go back to enjoying your Samsung devices. Cuz I'm already there! Hope this helps you guys because in the overall you guys actually help me solve this mystery. I hope this works for everyone let me know if it does or if it doesn't.
Thanks
