Man I wish this thread was closed lol. But I'm sure someone would start a brand new one all over again lol. I do find the thread amusing though lol. Never understood why someone would buy something then complain about it lol. If it's that bad sale it or trade or exchange it lol.

How many of the 14,000 viewers are vouching for the camera...lol? I would argue that's its the same few that saying the camera is great...

Many more than the "four". Throw in the satisfied people in the stickies picture thread The satisfied people in the XDA forums. The multiude of positive camera reviews. I would say its about 2309 pleased with the camera. And then the "four"(think it might only be 3) with the camera sucks mantra.

About only four (maybe 3?) people are complaining about the camera. The are complaining over and over on this thread. The camera is a solid top 5 camera in the smart phone world. There is nothing wrong with it. I was just being a bit sarcastic, picking another part of the phone that nothing is wrong with (the led light), and suggesting we fix that "problem" as well. Since there really are no problems to be found with these 2 items (camera and LED) no update will be coming.

There is a problem with the Note 3's camera, especially in low light conditions. It is inferior to the Note 2's legendary low light setting.

Hoping for a software update soon!

I really do not think there is going to be a camera update. I do not know how they can send an update just for few people when no one else is having a problem.

Just saw this in another forum entitled some like "Did anyone else receive an update from Samsung?" Look up the thread. If this is true it would be great and hilarious...


I randomly decided to check for update in my phone this morning, and was to my surprise I received a 40mb update from Samsung. I noticed it significantly improved my camera performance, and taking much better pics. Did anyone else get this update? I checked online but no information out there regarding the update. Does anyone know what the update consisted of?

Update fixes voice clarity both with ear piece and external speaker. Would have been funny if there was a camera update. If you think your camera is working a bit better must be a placebo effect.

The item in bold is someone else's post. I myself have not received an update. I am wondering if this is the same update we received from Sprint a few weeks ago.

On another note (no pun intended), I went back to the pics forum and was very impressed with some of the pics posted of late. These are the type of pics that I expected from the camera, though most if not all are in good light. Some of the pics are very impressive indeed.

The update is for foreign and Canadian GNote3 only after doing some searching people overseas have been having problems after an update that they got last month. It caused their phones to loose Stabilization. This is what happened after the first update. This is an update for the Quad Core phones.

So far Verizon has had the only update in the U.S. and that fix voice quality and speaker. I did a search for U.S Galaxy Note 3 Camera problems or Issues just to give our friends the benefit of the doubt.There is no report out there. If there was going to be a camera update here in the U.S there will be a lot of stuff posted out there about the camera being bad. There is no problems reported that is software related. Except for the 3 to 4 guys on this thread in which I believe is a hardware issue (Unless they Have an Unlocked Overseas phone), and a lot of people who's phone got messed up after an update. that have camera issues.

Since there is no reported issues here in the States I stand by what I said that there is no Updates coming to the U.S. I think that if there was going to be one it would have been in Verizon's update that I received yesterday.

I wonder if that guy is recording in 4K video and what kind of SD card he's using. If you record to the SD card and the write speeds aren't there, I can see having issues recording at 4K rates.

I just use best photo with smart stabilization off for every picture. I hold the camera rock solid and use voice commands. My photos come out amazing now. The camera seems to loose alot of quality if you so much as move the camera a hair. Best photo seems to find the best photo in all those very tiny movements. I don't know what professionals call it but just because I hear the click doesn't mean it hasn't tooken that crystal clear pic on the screen still needs longer to capture and thats why its looses quality that tiny pin like movement within that click can ruin a pic. I think its slow shutter speed or something. I only use flash 15 feet or farther because it ruins natural colors with its over powered flash

Mine has been underperforming also. Please try "Camera MX" from the play store and report back. It appears to be a stock camera issue. The blur effect was happening to me also. cameramx photo.

Performance is spotty and it's not like I am taking photos in the dark. Here are some photos taken at my work

I am a jewelry buyer and take a ton of photos with my camera for my job. As you can see the coral necklace and gold/onyx ring came out Fine. But the diamond and gold earrings came out horrid. Yes diamonds and even gold are hard to photograph but god did the whole photo have to be a blurry mess? Somewhat disappointment coming from a s4 and an iPhone 5
