I may have found the problem, on my phone, anyway. I was running Twilight, but by pausing it, that seems to fix things. If you're not running Twilight, check any running apps that have "draw over other apps" in permissions. There's probably a simple way to do this, but I basically went through the list running apps (starting with my best guesses), checking permissions and stopping each one to see if it fixed the problem. I got lucky on the third try, so it wasn't too bad. Hope this helps you.

I had this same problem on a stock Verizon Galaxy Note 2. I'm using an automatic brightness app, Lux, and I had to turn it off (I just used its virtual power button to make it sleep) to get Google Wallet happy. Luckily it's an easy app to turn of and back on again.

I was having the same issue didn't even think of Twilight, paused it and it worked just fine guess anything that alters the screen effects it.

Another popular app that causes this is Juice Defender.

Just happened to me. I went through the running apps starting with what I installed last and seemed most likely to take over the screen. Turned out to be LUX, an automated brightness control. Uninstalled LUX and the problem is gone.

Your suggestion worked! Thank You! It was the Twilight but once I turned it off, the new Gooble Wallet worked just fine

I was using honeycomb launcher.... It was causing this same problem. Turned it off and it worked fine.

I have a blue light filter on my phone that for some reason was blocking my purchases as well tonight. It was the only thing I had changed since my last purchase so I turned it off. It worked!!! If you have a filter on your phone or another program constantly running in the background like it try turning them off momentarily to see if it will allow access. Best of luck

Turn off programs like bluelight filter Lux etc. Make pur hase then you can turn them back on.
