That really blows i got a brand new card with 0% for 18 mo just for this lol i fought with myself not to use it for anything else

ugh, I just got off the phone again with a Verizon rep and found out they attempted a charge on my account and it came up with insufficient funds due to the fact I was not expecting them to ship so soon. So on the plus side I got it paid but the down side I now have to wait longer for tracking info and sitting in limbo so I can change my address. I'm out of town for work and was hoping to have it shipped to my hotel but I'm starting to have doubts.
Anyways Black 9/20 was my preorder details.

Im still waiting on my pre order from BB. Mine is on sprint. I complained to BB about this fiasco. They insist its not their fault... But when you talk to the Samsung Rep in the store, they are blaming BB. At least I get my SupCase tomorrow, that I pre-ordered from Amazon on Saturday. YES.... Im pissed at BB and will never pre-order again

Yeah I have been reading some of their forums and it's not very encouraging... A LOT of people talking about them being shady with the preorders and stock on hand. Plenty of unhappy customers talking about going to the BBB after dealing with their customer service.

I'm thinking I should cancel my preorder and try directly with VZW

I ordered on morning of 9/19 from Verizon - then cancelled it and preordered at best buy on 9/19 since I didn't like the whole "shipping on 10/23" thing. I selfishly hope that no Verizon preorders arrive before Thursday...

I ordered on 9/19 from my local vow store and am happy to say I'm getting by wed from PA ( I'm in ny ) but I'm hoping to get it tomorrow because the distance is so close ( Wishfull thinking LOL)

I used prepaid with my Droid Ultra for a few months. No problems at all, same coverage as with postpaid. Around $48-49 after tax. 500 mb bumped upt to 1 GB with autopay.

I work for Verizon if you can swing it just get the 2 year contract. The edge plan got switched to 18 months instead of 12 when you can upgrade it depends on the person but I don't care for edge

Sounds like you had a good experience with prepaid. I am guessing taxes and other fees are cheaper with prepaid than the post paid plans?! I am still contemplating the Edge plan also. It currently has a $45 1gb plan and I like the option to pay off the phone early. Or I could go with the prepaid for $45 per month and 1gb with autopsy. I like the fact I can add 3 GB of data for $20 and I can use it over 90 days. What advantages/disadvantages do you guys see between these 2 options. Thanks!

Well its up to you of course. It'll cost you $750 to buy the phone outright. Of course edge allows you to make low 0% APR payments until your ready to buy out the edge agreement and keep the phone. Can you afford the $750 hit, or would rather pay it down a bit? That's your choice as I see it.

I ordered a white model on 9/19 just a few minutes after midnight. My card was finally charged at about 5PM.

The tracking number on the order status page is blank.

I am not happy that others who ordered a week or more later got theirs arriving as early as tomorrow!

I think its obvious that White won't be available until 10/31 as per the web page. But if they ran out of white, those who first pre ordered early should've at least gotten theirs.

Some white ones were shipped (See the XDA thread). I have a white one that just got charged to my card.

FeDex tracking page still doesn't find my tracking number. But I have been told I should wait until tomorrow morning.
