I don't know if this has been posted, but can anyone tell me how to turn off the setting that makes the screen to turn on when receiving a text message? Thanks in advance.
My screen does not wake up for texts

Unfortunately, you can't. It drives me nuts, too. But it's not just the Note 4, it's been there in every single Samsung phone I've ever owned, and if we are comparing, the iPhone does it, too.
Calls and text messages, unless you're blocking notifications, will always turn the screen on.
UPDATE.
If you use the stock messaging app, then your screen lights up. If you use Hangouts, it doesn't. Drewood, are you using Hangouts for SMS by any chance?
I am looking for the setting that will make this happen. I just got the Note 4 yesterday, and it doesn't light up on receipt of any notification, text or call. Any ides??
I have the note 4, led turned on but my screen still doesn't wake on text messages. It does for snapchat though. Any idea how to get it to turn on or is it just not possible on this phone? I have sprintDo you have the LED turned on? (Settings>Display>LED indicator)
