Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Selecting alternate voice for Google Maps?

I've searched over and over trying to figure this out. I have downloaded a British voice, set the appropriate options under text to speech, and I still get an American voice. Am I missing something? Thanks.

If you look at Settings > Language and Input > Text-To-Speech-Options, is Samsung or Google selected?
If it is not Google, try that and then change the voice to what you want.

I've tried both and neither work. If I click the "speech sample" entry the voice is correct, but it's wrong in Google Maps. It must be something simple but I can't figure it out.

I'm lost too.. I DL a few voices for s-voice and it seems the high quality english works.. but tired Australian and hell even korean and tnothing changed.. I can select them but nothing.. As with google I selected that and can change the voice.. whats the point of DL'ing 100s of MB for other voices if you cant pick them =-/... ahhhhh
