The edge is more of a next generation device, the smart thing would be to wait until a edge 2 or 3 shows up and get the Note 4 now. Plus, the note 4 has virtual reality support and the overall better display,

First time that I'm really looking at the Note 4. It looks very impressive. I have a Note 3 and I love it but just the new shape / design of the Note 4 really impresses me. However, I don't really feel the need to upgrade my Note 3. Will probably wait for the Note 5.

Battery life on iPhone 6+ doesn't look that great here. It's just slightly better than G3 and I think Note 4 will beat that easily. According to displaymate Note 4 has very efficient display panel.

By multitasking I mean having multiple apps running....3 or 4 tabs in safari, a twitter feed, perhaps a game or 2..

I currently have the G3, I will be swapping out for a Note 4. To which i will preface... The G3 is a fantastic phone, but I have serious issues. The multi-tasking shown on the Note 4 IMO is true multi-tasking, unlike any other device. I've had both the 5S and Note 3 (which I swapped the 5S for)
Apple has a solid ecosystem. The build of their devices is always fantastic. The UI is always fluid. It works really well and the fact that they have increased the screen size to 5.5" makes the device extremely enticing for me. Benchmarks do not matter, like seriously they don't.
I'd really like to get my hands on a 6+ until the Note 4 comes out and then just swap it out. For me personally I get bored with iOS, I like to drag and drop media into the phone, I've already got a 64GB sd card, and I am really interested in Gear VR. Not to mention overall customization that can be done. The Note 4 is just more of a... gadget. I'm a big fan of nova prime, I just cant see myself with an iPhone permanently.
Touchwiz stinks(as far as Android skins go), but with the shear specs of the Note 4 it wont be an issue like it has been on the S line or even previous Notes. The Note 3 has been my favorite device of all time (and I've have A LOT) it is my prediction that sooner or later the Note series will be Samsungs front running flagship. If i could get my hands on a 6+ i'd trade in the G3 in a heartbeat for it but I would turn around and sell it for the Note 4.
The Note series is the most evolved phablet line. They've polished the experience, and the experience on the Note 3 was stellar.

I love my iPhone plus its a really good phone, I have decide that I will now walk around with 2 phones a iPhone plus and a note 4 the best of both worlds.

Yup, no removable battery & no memory card slot. These are deal killers especially for those heavy users who need to store lots of video /photo files.

Same here. I only got the LG G3 because it had the above features, however that wasn't enough as I returned it after 2 days for for the S5.

Why get a Iphone 6, it is just a larger screen version of the Iphone 4 or 5. I had the Iphone 5 before I went to the Note 3. I must admit, that their keynote address was quite compelling and the watch made me think that maybe I should switch to Crapple. Then after a day, I hit my bumped my head on a planter and went back to knowing that the Note 3 was the better choice over Crapple. They do have motivating ads and good marketing but, there is very little substance underneath all of that.

The report I saw was bogus. The guy thought his 6 plus had bent because it wouldn't lay flat on a table. Then it was pointed out to him that no 6 plus will lay flat because of the protruding rear camera.
If you don't think you will use the Notes special features such as the stylus, multitasking windows, remote control capability, it's SD slot, then I would consider the 6 plus. It has a fantastic, very easy to use, rapid focusing camera, improved call quality second to no other cell phone, and an interface that is boring but smooth and reliable. It is well built, narrower in your hand, and will have much better trade in value than the Note when it's time to upgrade.
If I were you, I would wait for the Note 4 to appear in stores. Handle one along with the 6 plus and see which one fits you best.
