Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Not Unlocking.

I forgot the pattern and I'm unable to unlock it via fingerprint because the device was shut down. I tried to display the "unlock via PIN" and "unlock via Google" options by getting the pattern wrong a few times, but that is not happening. Every time I input the wrong pattern the device tells me to try again in a set amount of time. It started with "Try again in 30 seconds" to "Try again in 1 minute" to "Try again in 2 minutes". Meaning that I'm unable to try to input a wrong pattern twice in a row but rather I must wait some time before each try, this wasn't like this and I have not set the device settings to make it as such.

I'm trying to avoid to factory reset the device by simply unlocking the phone using the Google or PIN options, but neither are showing up, what are my options?

I don’t think you have any. By forgetting your backup method, you’ve in effect locked yourself out of the phone.
