Update on the Pelican Protector case. While removing my phone from the case I heard a loud "Crack"
I crapped my pants thinking it was the Note 8 screen cracking only to find out it was the Pelican Protector case that snapped.

Glad it wasn't your phone!

Do they have a warranty? Doesn't seem to be designed all that great if just removing it would break it.

I have had this same case for several past phones including the Galaxy S8 Plus, iPhone 7 plus and never had a problem.
I filled out the Pelican warranty form and will see if they respond.

You can kill me later for this but, I hope you had toilet paper or something with you to clean that mess up but seriously glad it was the case and not phone. And here I was about to ask if they had that case in blue but now seeing this I don't think I want it.

Zagg Glass Curve and it's been perfect except for a little fuzz sticking to the edges. :-\

You can kill me later for this but, I hope you had toilet paper or something with you to clean that mess up?????? but seriously glad it was the case and not phone. And here I was about to ask if they had that case in blue but now seeing this I don't think I want it.

I've also seen Pelican cases break and crack when dropped as well. I wouldn't waste my money on them. So what it has a warranty. I Don't want to keep sending my case back when it breaks. The Defender doesn't break when dropped.

Just picked up the Speck Candyshell Grip at WalMart for $24.88 and it is one nice case for the Note 8.
IMO it's better built than the Presidio Grip with higher side glass protection and a much sturdier built all around.
If you can live with the "Storm Trooper" colors this is well worth the $24.88
