Sorry for the delay, my phone was on airplane mode and no wifi since I was out of the country. It's a nice case! I had issues with the piece around the fingerprint sensor so I cut it off. So now it's just an open window there. Other than that it's comfortable, solid grip and looks good. Not alot of screen protection as the lips don't lift up past the screen very much so when I use it I put it in a leather sleeve.
It's a generic case, I'll link it below. It's thin so I always use it with a sleeve. It's difficult to get off sometimes and the gold plastic top and bottom has a very thin piece in the back that seems easy to break although they havn't broken on me. Also the gold part does scratch easy. Other than that the case is very comfortable to hold almost like holding the phone itself but more grippy.

I got this one off of ebay for $12. It's just called Defender lol. I think the quality is solid, the latches on the plastic frame work just like otterbox and the fit and finish is solid. It's actually a little more grippy than the otterbox commuter I have on my iPhone 7 (which I only got because it was on sale for $12). But I havn't found any sales on the otterbox for the note 8. "FotterFox" as I call it, is easy to hold thanks to the notes slim form factor. I havn't dropped my phone but it feels like it would hold up to any otterbox I've used. The feel of the material isn't as good as the otterbox, but it is more grippy and it definitely feels nice. The only negative is the headphone jack and charging port cover flaps seem a little flemsy, the design makes it so that it lifts the rubber slightly off of the frame when opened. I will have to see how the flaps hold up. Other than that, I would recommend it.
