I had it with Verizon and I have it with AT&T, both with locked phones and I find them similar and both fine. I don't know why the ratings would be bad on PlayStore - not sure what the heck people are looking for?
You can also use Google Voice to get visual voicemail with your carrier. That works very well.
And Google gives free transcription which is $4 a month on T-mobile. Many choices. This is what I use and my history /saved messages cross to whichever phone I'm using. I have no complaints.
I read that you could do that. But don’t you have to port your number to Google Voice?
No, you do not have to port. You would only do that to change carriers. They will give you a new phone number. There are many options and settings which you can use to customize it. You can forward calls to it. It can forward to another number. Read the Google info sheet when picking out your new number.I read that you could do that. But don’t you have to port your number to Google Voice?
Maybe that's why so many complaints on Play Store then... that comment had me wondering. I've been using AT&T through several Notes and love it!The at&t visual voicemail app on my note 9 is not the same as the one in the app store. The one on my phone is a built-in app and works very well. I haven't experienced any problems with it.
