Looks like Vm is getting another really nice phone. The Samsung reverb is slated to come out on the 29th. 5 mega pixel camera, android 4.0, 4 in screen, 1.4ghz goodness.

More details are on engadget where I read it from

Here is the link for those of you who havent seen it already:

Hardware wise, it doesnt look to bad, and the price isnt bad either. Im not sure its enough to pull me away from the EVO, but we will see.

For me, what kind of developer attention it gets might be the deal breaker. If some good devs decide to hop on board, i might follow. If not, then my next (phone) purchase will more than likely be the EVO.

As all of us optimus v users know, 3rd party developers can really make or break a phone. If it werent for the amazing 3rd party developers behind the optimus v, I highly doubt it would have kept me satisfied for as long as it has.

What do you guys think?

Well I know that the processor is single core. The same snap dragon that's in the one v, just clocked up. So I'm assuming that they might be share kernels.

May be the same processor but different device so different kernal. Right?

Probably. I'm just going out on limb saying that. Just seems logical in my head that two snap dragon s4 processors would share a similar kernel

totally disappointed with the announcement last night. I was hoping that VM would have announced the Galaxy S 2 along with Boost.

The processor is one of many things controlled by the kernel, ie screen, wifi, charging etc. The device would have to be identical hardware and software wise to have compatible kernels. A kernel builder would be able to use it as a base, especially if the have the same ram

I personally am pretty excited to try this phone out. I really like the S3, but it is far too big for me. This seems like a pretty good phone, and I have read somewhere that it is the same version of Touchwiz used on the S3.

Do we know if that means it includes all features, like the Svoice, and has anyone seen battery size?

One review I read said it has a super amoled screen, I don't know if that seems right though either.

Also, I just noticed the leak for Verzion's Samsung Galaxy Stellar. It seems to have a very similar body, but apparently has different specs. Like a 3.5 mp camera and LTE.

Definitely, it would be great if there is developer interest. I didn't even consider that when I got my OpV, but now that I've rooted one phone, I'll probably want to do whatever I get next, too. (Though the specs sound nice out of the box to start with!)

I'm not interested enough to pre-order, since it's always nice to get at least a few reviews from users in the field first, and prices seem to drop pretty quickly. It doesn't seem like the HTC Evo and One were out all that long before they started offering discounts and sale prices.
