Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100M 4.1.2 app problems?

I updated my phone to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and almost every app in the Play Store says that my phone is not a compatible version. Any clues as to why it's saying this?

If it helps any, I got my phone unlocked from Sasktel so that I could use my old phone's SIM card in it. I also upgraded it from Gingerbread but not sure exactly what version.

How did you upgrade it? Stock ROM?

I upgraded it using Kies. And my phone is not rooted or anything. Would rooting it at this point be the only cure?

I got it to work now. All I had to do was factory reset my phone.
