Somehow my husband has managed to put his phone in some kind of boot loop or something. It will go into recovery mode and ADB detects the phone for sideload, the phone will also boot into download mode as well as safe mode, in safe mode there's a message saying we must factory reset in order to get out of safe mode but my husband doesn't keep his accounts backed up with google nor is he signed into a Samsung account so we are holding off on the factory reset because of the pictures and videos that would be devastating if we lose them, not to mention all his DJI videos of all the houses his company has done, just a lot of important things we'd rather not lose. The bootloader is locked. Developer options is open but now USB debugging is greyed out and it says it's being blocked by autoblocker even though we have disabled autoblocker. So needless to say we can't use ADB except in recovery for sideloading and of course no shell access. Is there any possible way we can somehow extract the data or dump the partitions? Anything at all we can do to save this data? I have access to forensic tools via CSI Linux, Tsurugi, and Kali Linux. I did build a minimal sideload zip to try to enable MTP or prep for data extraction but it failed for some reason. I am welcome to any suggestions, I am willing to exhaust every avenue so hopefully we don't lose all the data. Unfortunately come morning if I haven't figured it out we will be forced to do the factory reset because he absolutely has to have his phone for work and I would just let him use mine but his business contacts do not know my phone number and he doesn't have a way to get in touch with anyone because of course my phone doesn't have any of his contacts. Please help me!!

Welcome to Android Central forums. I'm not sure you'll find the help you're looking for here. @mustang7757 is the one many here turn to for ADB stuff, so if that is an avenue maybe he'll have some advice but based on what you've told us, if the photos and videos are what you're concerned about losing, why don't you backup or copy them while you have access via Safe Mode? Sure it would be great to fix it and not go through the pain of starting fresh but even the phone is suggesting a factory reset.

The only thing I can recommend would be to clear the Partition Cache from the bootloader menu. Beyond that I would salvage what I could from the media folder and FR.

If you haven't looked into it, XDA Developers, is another Android forum but they talk more about rooting, ROMs and tinkering under the Android hood, so to speak. You're more apt to find a non-traditional solution or advice there.

Good luck and best wishes
