Hey everybody. This is maybe a noob question, but anyways. I use my phone often my music player and there's one thing that drives me crazy. BTW, I'm using I9300 with CM10.2 running android 4.3.
Problem is this: whenever I receive notification music stops for a brief moment. It happens on hangouts, Facebook, other social networks. Whenever I receive or send message in viber and so on. Only thing that doesn't interrupt music is whatsapp. So I know that the phone is capable of playing notification sound over the music. Is there anything in settings that I don't know about? Or is there any other way to force notification sound to play over music, without interrupting it?

My S3 does this too, I'm certain there is nothing you can do about it - It's so that you are able to hear that you have received a notification over the noise of music.

But the problem is that for some apps the music volume gets lower during notification sound, for some it doesn't do anything and some completely pause music. If it only paused the music, I wouldn't have any problems, but it's completely random and that drives me nuts..

I'm not saying it's an issue, I just want to know if there's any way to control this.

What music player are you using?
Have you tried a different player?
Did you have the same problem on the stock firmware?
Have you checked the notification settings for the various messaging apps that you use?
