Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Won't Turn on

Hi everyone,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 mini and it's been working great ever since I got it. The charger port has been broken so I've been using a Samsung battery charger and that's been working great too. A few days ago I washed my hands after eating and I didn't dry my hands properly and was in a rush to put my battery into my phone. My phone turned on and came to the screen where I enter my password and then it immediately shut off and isn't turning on at all. I tried charging the battery then putting it in again but unfortunately it still isn't turning on. What can I do?

Welcome to Android Central! Were your hands wet, and did they make the battery wet when you inserted it? Have you tried a new battery?

Hi, yeah my hands were a bit wet as I didn't dry them fully and I think they made the battery wet. My mum took my phone to a mobile repair shop and they tried a new battery and apparently the phone still didn't turn on.

Something might have shorted out, then. It's probably time for a new phone, sorry!
