First off, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this. If its not, please direct me the correct location.
2nd, I've searched around for the answer to my question and I haven't found it, so I'd appreciate it if someone could answer.
I'm a T mobile user interested in buying a Metro PCS Galaxy s3 listed as the SGH-T999N model. Checking the iMEI given, 356502050598379, it seems that it is indeed compatible with GSM. Metro PCS is CDMA I believe and having done a few searches and come across a few topics, they led me to believe that moving my sim card into the Metro PCS galaxy s3 wouldn't work.
Does anyone know if they can verify this? I've heard that Metro PCS came out with different models of the Galaxy S3 instead of the older different versions. I asked a T mobile representative and he said that as long at its a T999 model, it would work with T mobile. Checking on the Metro PCS site, I couldn't find out which network it used, but Wikipedia now lists the galaxy s3 version of Metro PCS T999 under GSM. I've even seen the MetroPCS on other sites with deal plans listing it as GSM.
If someone could clear up this confusion for me, that would be great!
