Hi All,

I am new to the Android world. i bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) about 3 months ago and i love it. will never go back.
i was running Android 4.2.2 and things were beautiful.
Yesterday i updated to Android 4.3 and since then things have not been so great.
The phone is slow to respond with swipes, opening apps etc.
It just seems generally sluggish and slow, bot like before, seems like allot of memory is being used.
i clear the memory and close open apps, but it doesn't seem to help.

please help
thank you

thank you for that, i understand that it is suppose to be better.
but in my case its slowing my phone down....

Mine so far seems to be better, definitely not worse. I know it's a pain, but I would recommend you do a factory reset after backing up your files and gradually add stuff back. It has worked for me. Hope that helps.

On my SGS4 mobile, After the recent 4.3 jb update my LIVE WALLPAPERS crash every time I try to set. Also my task manager crashes with similar effect.
Kindly suggest remedy other than reseting my phone to before jb 4.3

A factory reset does not roll back your software version. You'll still have 4.3 after you do it.

These OTA updates don't always go smoothly on every phone. I had one update for my S4 where one of the features that was added didn't even show up until after I did a factory reset. I'd highly recommend doing one after an update as large as an OS revision change. It's also a good way to figure out how to back up everything you need when you can control when your data gets destroyed. It's way better to learn to do it that way than wish you had done it if something on your phone breaks or your phone gets stolen.
