Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition - When do ya think 4.4 will be available for S4?

4.3 was released 9 days for GPE devices after the last update went live for Nexus devices last time. The way things are going looks like it's going to be much longer. Even though 4.4 was announced for Nexus 7 and 4 devices absolutely no one including me has gotten the 4.4 OTA as of yet.

The Nexus factory images have been posted for a few days now. They roll out the OTA in batches, not all at once, so, you can either wait for your turn or go get the OTA from the download and sideload it, or grab a factory image and load it. But for the S4, they've not even posted the kernel source yet. I have a watch on that site so I'll know as soon as they post it and within 24 hours of that happening we'll start seeing the OTA. The HTC GPE should have it start pushing soon as they gave the build to Google on Friday.

Yeah, I realize I could make KitKat happen on my Nexus 7 (2012). However, I am, frankly, too lazy to do it (lol). I have no problem waiting for it's OTA.

I think the GPE S4 will have it by early december. Google is working on the rollout for the nexus devices. I can confirm but HTC and Samsung Sent over there code for there devices for GPE phones to Google. Now it is Google's job to impliment that code and get the update pushed. Good news is that is what google does so shouldnt be too long.

Considering the VZW branded Moto X just got 4.4 and is already PULL enabled, we better get it sooner than early December!
