Samsung Galaxy s4 UI

I have the Gs4 and also just got the android 4.4.2 update ( I m on AT&T ). I have gotten to see footage of the Gs5's UI and prefer it to that of the Gs4. Why can't Samsung b just be like Apple and give all of their devices the same UI ( for the most part )? I emailed a costumer service rep and was told that they were trying to not great confusion between the phones in their line up... What?

What he really saying is that Samsung is trying to push people into buying the newer phone because it has a better interface.
