Help!

So, I was changing the battery of my Samsung Galaxy S5 (from the old & barely holds a charge OEM to an existing Anker that holds a charge like the OEM battery, give or take a few minutes of battery life).

While I had taken the OEM battery out to charge on the battery wall charger (slide battery in a box, out of the phone) and I was putting in the Anker battery (which had been charged on the same battery wall charger & ready to be inserted into my phone) - which is something that my phone is used to - I noticed that my phone would boot up to the brilliant colored Samsung logo.

Then when the boot sequence got to the duller color Samsung logo (with the multicolored specks bursting from behind it) the little vibe & the menu + back back light buttons would make their little indication that the phone is going to load my home screen... But the phone would just remain showing the boot sequence with the Samsung logo (with the multicolored specks bursting from behind it) the little vibe & the menu + back back light buttons would just do their thing over & over until I remove the battery...

I hope that I was descriptive enough to make it understandable.

Sorry - this is rather confusing. How a battery gets charged doesn't really matter. Whether it's in a phone or on a wall charger. What is the state of the phone when you are changing batteries? Are you leaving the phone plugged in and trying to wrestle the batteries in and out?

- turn the phone off
- remove the back cover
- take out the old battery
- insert the new battery
- replace the back cover
- turn the phone on

Don't try to over complicate things. Or are you saying that your phone boot loops when the new Anker battery is in it? If you turn it off and put in the old (wimpy) battery does it boot properly?
