Samsung Galaxy S5 Gets Android Marshmallow

I have the G900H variant with Exynos chipset still waiting for the update. The snapdragon variants seem to be getting better support.

What is cyanogen? I'm trying to learn what the difference is between different root options.

Any thing I can do with a straight talk sm-s902l. Under the battery it says it's a 900v. Would love to mod it either marshmallow or cm13?

Not a lot you can do with a G900V, Verizon, CDMA phone I am afraid. It is now rootable but developers gave up on it a long time ago. I have not seen a Marshmallow ROM for it at all.

TOP TIP:

Avoid the AT&T and Verizon models of the Galaxy S4, S5 & S6 if you can as they have introduced unrootable, mega locked down bootloaders. Also, all the U.S. carrier models of the S7 & S7 Edge now have the same bootloader. :(

I can't believe I missed this reply. Apparently I wasn't subscribed to the thread even though I posted in ot. Thanks Iron! From what I've seen you're the backbone of this forum. 👍👊👌

I'm only in it for the money...

;)

A, "Snapshot", release has finally been issued for the CyanogenMod, CM-13, ROM mentioned in post #1. The Snapshot release is a way point to a fully Stable release if you like and denotes a release that is considered to be good enough for every day use. You can download, cm-13.0-20160820-SNAPSHOT-ZNH5YAO0J4-klte.zip (331.61 MB), here.
