Samsung Galaxy s5 problems. Need help.

The caller on the other end I can hardly understand. It sounds like my speaker may be going out on it? Both my voicemail and my calls are doing this, and I've only had this phone for about 1-2 years now.

Try playing one of the problem voice mails with your earphones plugged in to see if it is still a problem. If it still sounds funny, it's probably not your speaker. Also try playing an older voice mail if you have one from a time when there were no issues, or any web audio to further test your speaker. If the speaker works with other audio sources it may have been a reception issue.
