Samsung Galaxy S6 Active made noise then screen went black, how can I get the DOS menu up?

Samsung Galaxy s6 active Made at&t noise then screen went black

So I can't edit my last question so it's a little confusing. It made the at&t noise then the screen went black. The screen is still touch responsive and the noise works, the display just won't show up. I've tried to soft reset it but that didn't work. I'm waiting till the battery is completely dead and have removed the SD card. Is there a way to bring up the dos menu if the display isn't activated from say maybe a software update?

You could try booting into recovery. Maybe that would trigger your screen.

Power Down the Galaxy S6
Press and Hold the Power Button, Volume Up Button and the Home Buttons at the Same Time
Continue Holding These Buttons Until You See Some Blue Text at the Top
When You See the ‘Recovery Booting….” Text, Then Let Go of These Buttons
Wait Until the Galaxy S6 Fully Boots into the Recovery Mode
