checked em out today. first impression was a good one, though there's no doubt Samsung has their footprint all over it. at least most preinstalled apps can be disabled.

the edge display is noticeably narrower than its counterpart, and I don't see how a case is gonna be able to fit. they're also extremely light and ridiculously thin.

for a glass phone, and I'm comparing it to the nexus 4, the grip isn't bad at all. it's definitely a gorgeous phone, but Samsung led us to believe there would be less bloat, and I'm just not seeing it. that said, it's a big improvement from the TW of a few years ago.

I'll wait for the for the dust to settle and I'm anxious to see how efficient the battery life is, plus I'd like to check out the G4 and Moto X 3rd gen, but I anticipate getting the 64 GB black Edge and keeping it for 3 years.

Really? I was there earlier today and they said April 1st for Verizon. If I can find this confirmed I may have to go back out there before they close.

I felt both phones and to be honest, the regular S6 felt better in my hand. However, the Edge is just too cool to not buy. Also, I think what I liked better about the regular S6 in my hand was the thicker bezel. I most likely will have a case on my phone and I think the case will make the bezel thicker on the Edge and make it feel more like the regular version. If I don't get used to it and don't like it, I have 14 days to return it and get the regular version.

I will be buying the regular version for my wife because she's more prone to drops.

Just pre-ordered the 64GB black sapphire. AT&T. Gold platinum not available at least for the 64GB. 128GB not available at all. This despite it being on their website.

Got to hold both the GS6 and the Edge. Liked the GS6 as it had a more solid feel. The grip on the Edge wasn't as good and you feel both edges of the screen. Both are lightning fast and smooth as butter. No detectable lag at all. Granted that I only spent a few minutes with both. If you are interested in both, they are great. Even after playing with the Edge, can't justify the cost.

Put down $50 down on pre-order. This is my first Best Buy one. Got a $50 BB card and a receipt for the device and the wireless charging pad. Didn't ask about ship date or when I could pick it up. More later, have Dad duties.

Confirmed! I just called the local Best Buy and if you hit the button to check on products t availability it states Verizon pre-orders in store only starting today! Guess it's time to head to Best Buy.

Best buy near me told me that they could not pre order the 128GB until the 1st, they are taking 32GB and 64GB today.

My store did also, I went ahead and ordered the black 64. When the 128 becomes available, I'll cancel this order and switch to that one.

I plan on ordering devices for family that live in other states and would rather just have their devices shipped.

Sucks that best buy makes you pick up. Was trying to help out some out of state family but I couldn't. Got myself a black edge and my wife and her sister a white s6 though.

One thing that kind of worried me is the rep said that the wireless chargers aren't guaranteed and are on a first come first serve basis. I don't see anything about that in the documentation though. It looks like they just did a normal order for the charger. Hopefully the rep just didn't know what he was talking about or was told to just play it safe and say that.

Anybody else have a similar experience?
