Samsung galaxy S7 not beeping during call waiting

My Samsung galaxy S7 is not making an audible beeping during call waiting to alert me to the incoming call.
I did contact Samsung on chat a couple of weeks ago and they got me to download a Samsung programme to my laptop which seemed to rectify it once i'd backed up. This was after going into the speaker settings with *# and some numbers. ( I can't remember what now).
....anyways...now it's on the blink again and I keep missing calls. It's very frustrating.
Does anyone have any ideas or a solution please..?

What are your settings in the menu as shown?

Welcome to Android Central! To supplement methodman89's question -- are you certain you're even getting call waiting calls? Can you test it by making a call, and then asking a friend or family member to try calling you while you're on the phone? Look at the screen -- do you see a call waiting notification?

Yes Dbiddy I am getting the incoming status allowing me to swap between calls.
We have tried to phone from another handset and it is coming up that the call waiting is working.
It will allow me to swap between calls etc but as I have already said it is just the AUDIBLE BEEP I am not getting.
I messaged chatted to Samsung and the gave me a number to dial. Something like *# then numbers and # again and it brought up the internal speaker settings which allowed me to say something and play it back.
That wasn't working. Sounded like interference.
Then she asked me to go on to Samsung smart switch and check for updates to start with.
Because we were on chat for quite some time and I had to go get my husband from work we terminated the chat and I said I would contact again the next day.
Funnily the next day I was on a call and got another call incoming and it started to work.
I thought great.! Problem solved.
Now for some strange reason its stopped working again. Its driving me nuts.
What is Verizon.??? I am on a U.K network EE.

How will I know what apps I don't need please and which are causing problems ?. Thank you.

If your settings are correct, and you stated your provider was able to configure it initially successfully, I would call them back. Paying attention to any subsequent changes you make 1 at a time to narrow it down, if it comes back at all.

What sort of help do you need at this point? Have you already tested it in Safe Mode? If so, does it still not give you the Call Waiting beep? The reason to test in Safe Mode is to determine if the problem is part of the system or due to something you installed. If the problem goes away in Safe Mode, then it's probably due to something you installed. The tricky thing there is that it can be hard to pinpoint which app you installed is the culprit, so sometimes you just have to start uninstalling apps one by one until the problem goes away.

One approach would be to start with apps that have Phone permission. Go to Settings>Apps>Permission Manager​, select Phone, and see which apps have Phone permission there. Try uninstalling those apps one by one and see if it helps.
 
B Diddy. Thank you you're a star. !! That appears to have worked...I've just deleted them all then allowed a few at a time and tested it by ringing my phone I use on bluetooth and then husband ringing me on the troublesome phone and I'm now getting the beeping to alert me ..
