Samsung Galaxy s7 or S8. Which can I mirror to my TV without internet?

Samsung Galaxy S5 that I used to connect to my TV with an HDMI cable broke and I now have a Samsung Galaxy S7. I can't connect to my TV with the HDMI cable. I don't have internet at my house as it isn't available. Any suggestions on this phone or If I update to a newer Samsung will I be able to mirror my phone to my TV without internet? If so, which version should I get? Verizon suggested the Chromecast Ultra but everything I read, says I need internet. Thanks for your help....very frustrated.

Chromecast needs internet to set up but not to run, but it should work as long as you have a wifi router running (or maybe not even that - it may use peer-to-peer wifi). If the TV is a Samsung, the phone will cast to it directly (but only to a Samsung TV). Otherwise, go to https://www.gsmarena.com/, look for phones you like, look to see if they have HDMI (the S7 appears to not have it) and make a choice.
