Samsung Galaxy S7 Rumors

Re: Samsung Galaxy S7

Since the device itself hasn't even been announced yet (only leaks of images showing the alleged prototype yesterday) it's REALLY hard to come up with a release date for a specific carrier. But if things keep their usual timing, it should be somewhere around April. Maybe March if they pull the launch date.

Excited about out this phone. Can't wait to see it. Here's hoping that early release is real.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S7

So there could be a "7 Plus"? What about the Note? Are they going full iPhone on us?

Re: Samsung Galaxy S7

The Note Line will not be refreshed until late Q3, so any leaks right now would only be of the S line.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S7

I'm really excited about this phone. I plan to get it and I really hope they will come up with some special features.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S7 Screen Size - Go Big or Go Home?

If they keep the screen size the same as the S6, I don't want one.
I want a bigger screen.
Tired of this little screen.
Even iphone has larger screens

Re: Samsung Galaxy S7

The latest rumors concern plus versions for regular GS7 and GS7 plus, thus four models possibly launched at the same time.

I'd buy the gs7 plus on release if it's real. And assuming it has this I want.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S7 Screen Size - Go Big or Go Home?

I hope they offer both so we can choose. As long as it's not as physically big as the nexus 6 I'm OK with it

Re: Samsung Galaxy S7

So, this was posted via Wall Street Journal/ArsTechnica: WSJ: Samsung Galaxy S7 to have pressure-sensitive display, microSD slot | Ars Technica

Hope the rumors hold. Particularly the microSD part; that's a major reason I fell off the bandwagon.

Even more so, the Note 5 (I tend to go for the phablet phone if I can manage) was just really disappointing. Sure, it's a powerful phone, with great hardware and so on and so forth, but as a "power user" phone? If that phone didn't have the S Pen, I don't see why you would even pick it up over the S6. And even then... many carriers didn't get the >32GB model. Some locations didn't even get the Note 5 at all. I don't think Samsung really gave it their all this go-round. I'm not a fan of everything that was done with the S6 but I do recognize that it was a major change from the previous Galaxy S-line phones.

The rumored S7 sounds like the "iPhone 6S" of Samsung phones, which isn't a bad thing. Really sounds like the core "S" phone will be a better pick than the Edge next time around as well. And since it will likely have Marshmallow, I'd like to see how Samsung TouchWizzes all over that version of Android.

I hope they do bring the sd card back, that was one thing I dislike about s6 , would also like removable battery. But maybe that's not a big deal?
I am wanting to upgrade from my s5, to flat s7 if features are good.
Keeping my fingers crossed. 😉

Re: Samsung Galaxy S7

They probably will bring it back. They removed it because full support was not really there in Android, and the SD card was basically being used for media consumption, something that you can now do with larger internal memories and cloud services.

With Marshmallow, however, even if a tad slower, you can finally use the SD card as part of the internal memory, thus allowing it to be fully used for apps, not just media.
