Samsung Galaxy S8 or LG G6?

I am returning my G6 today and will be preordering a Midnight black 8 today as well. The phone is built well but the camera was very slow with focusing on moving subjects in anything but perfect light. My s7 edge takes tremendous photos and I loved the camera in my Note 7 so I'll be very excited for a Note style phone albeit no stylus. After the V20 and now G6 having horrible auto modes in cameras I'm done with LG.

The G6 actually uses an IMX258.

Specs-wise, it's similar to the IMX214 but adds phase-detection autofocus along with some smaller updates.
Ok, my bad, it's only 18 months old. Older than the sensor in the V20 and Sony has produced quite a few more sensors since then.

It's old. It wasn't good IMO. They should do better.

Does anyone know where to find the LTE bands for the S8? LG lists the LG G6 bands on their website for each carrier but I can't seem to find anything from Samsung. T-Mobile doesn't bother to list all the bands for either.

Iam getting the G6...need flat screen and dual camera... Done with curved screens and that fps placement big no no

Just a heads up in case you run into this odd issue like I did...

I dropped my G6 off to UPS on Tuesday for return. It wasn't going to far and was out for delivery to the return center on Wednesday. When I checked last night to make sure it was delivered, the status said 'Package held for future delivery'. Umm, what?

I contacted UPS today and a supervisor from the UPS facility called me back. She said she had been on the phone all day with people about this because the T-Mobile return center put a hold on all deliveries until next week because of excess inventory. What a joke.

I contacted TMobile on Twitter earlier this evening and they were able to rectify the situation. They said normally the phone needs to be scanned at the return center first but because the was some issue there and the tracking showed I did in fact send the phone back, they went ahead and processed the return. It's currently showing completed in my account and I should get an email in 24 hours.

Having the same issue for a phone I returned. UPS Tracking shows "held for future delivery" message as well. Contacted TMo phone support and they are beyond useless.

Then I saw your post and took your advice. Pardon my ignorance but I've never used Twitter before (crazy I know) but I created an account and DM'd @tmobileHelp with my account info and the tracking # for my return.

Just making sure I did it correctly here and that I contacted the correct TMobile Twitter account.

Thanks mate.

Why didn't you guys just go into a T-Mobile store?

Yep that's the right handle. If they don't respond in a couple hours I'd send a tweet to them first and then they should reply asking for you to DM them.

I prefer a flat screen, but can't deny that the curves make the S8 a better size for me (68mm vs 72mm width), and the 32GB storage of the G6 is a drawback.

I'm waiting for the unlocked versions and hoping one of them has dual sims. Still not finding the T-Mobile S8 LTE bands listed anywhere.

I'm enjoying the G6 immensely. Its very smooth and fluid and just striking looking. I'm looking forward to the S8 as well.

Maybe LG will wake up and sell the Korean model world wide. That model would be competitive. They cheaped out on the US and European version.

It's like choosing between your children haha ^_^ I think the Galaxy S8 and LG G6 both have lots of things going for them. I have personally seen some camera samples from both devices and I'm very impressed. I think it comes down to brand preference and obviously price. Even $49 can sometimes sway customers. Both have bezeless screens with super high screen clarity. I'm sure if you purchased either you would be very happy :)

Im slightly swayed towards the Galaxy S8 though :D
