This s9 phone is ridiculous! I'm returning it to go back to my s8. I rely on custom notification sounds very much. Very sad that they would not keep this feature.
Some have reported that this is also missing from the S8 after its upgrade to Oreo. Seems like it was a result of a re-write of either the Samsung Contacts or messaging app that removed the feature.
