Hi there,

Could anyone help me to fix my problem? I cannot charge my tab 4. I've been using the original charger but it won't charge anymore. So I tried to charge with other samsung usb charger, but it still doesn't work. I think something is wrong with the tab itself. Can anyone have this issue and have solution?? Help!

Welcome to Android Central! Have you tried a different cable and and different wall plug? Either one can become faulty. If you've tried multiple cables/plugs and it still doesn't charge, then the charging port might be faulty, or there might be debris in there. Look closely with a flashlight.

I have had my tablet for just about 4 months. About a week before my Costco 90 day returun policy expired, I started having issues charging. It has gotten worse. I have tried the following:

Combinations of 4 chargers and cables
Cleaning port and cable connection with Deoxit.
Powering off unit to charge
Powering on unit to charge

I've ordered a new port and will install. If this fixes the issue, I'll order a few more to keep on the shelf.

I've been wondering about the application that monitors the battery. I've witnessed strange behavior. One morning, I unplugged it from charging overnight. Battery showed 93%. After using my tablet for well over an hour, it still showed 93%. I power cycled it, it still showed as 93% and the time on battery curve showed over an hour of usage. Last night, I was using the tablet and the battery showed 37%. Moments, I got the warning to plug in the charger. Seconds later, the screen dimmed. By the time I plugged it in, literally minutes since the "drain" started, it was at 1%.

Weird.

OK guys this is pretty easy to fix, first you need to remove the back from your tablet, and remove the battery cords, mainly the white one that gives the device power, search on YouTube for "how to remove galaxy tab 4 battery " after you unplug all cords replug it and it will turn on and if plugged in will start charge...... the device was stuck in a non bootable state, removing the battery helps to solve that

Hello
I've tried as you suggested above :-) but the battery will not charge beyond about 4% and drains within seconds :/ I've had my Note 10.1 GT-N8010 for over 2 years now :-) is it time to purchase a new battery? :-( and, should I buy a genuine Samsung or are the clones just as good? TIA

It works but every 1week i have to do it. I have to take out the battery and on. Any other solution please.

I have been through the charger dance (use different charger, used different electrical outlet, plugged charger into different devices, etc.) My husband managed to get cover partially off, but it appears that there is something holding it on and he doesn't want to break it. It looks like there is a board holding it on. Any suggestions?
