Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 Wifi vs Samsung Tab A 9.7 Wifi

I am considering these tablets and would appreciate your opinions. Mostly used for browsing, cards on PlayOk.com and keeping in contact with Skype and email when on holidays.
Also, the Tab A comes with a S Pen which would be handy for the card games. Are you able to get something similar for the Tab S 10.5 without buying the much more expensive model with the pen.

I am also interested in this question. Specifically I have been using a Note 10.1 (not the 2014 version) for the past several years and I love it. I mainly use it for Netflix, browsing internet, etc. The only reason to upgrade truthfully is becase my DirectTV app says it won't support the operating system (its at 4.1.2 and I am not interested in flashing custom). I just decided I am going to upgrade and give my brother my Note.

I have been comparing the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 16GB to the Tab A 10.1 16GB. I can get the Tab S used or the Tab A new for about the same price. Specs seem to show the Tab S has the upper hand (better ram, resolution, pixel density, processor?, and i like the bigger size) but I am worried about how long Samsung will support it with updates (i know it just got the marshmallow update).

Anybody compare/benchmark side-by-side these two tablets? Any input on which might be a better choice?
