Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will not connect to Router Extender

My wife just purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 tablet. It will connect to my router but not the extender. It sees the extender but will not connect. Other devices are connected to the extender so it does work. The router is a Netgear Nighthawk R7000. The extender I have had longer is a Netgear WN3000RP.
Any Ideas

I use tplink extender and can connect to just fine. What kind of error?
