Samsung Galaxy Tab2 7.0 having issues with wifi connection

I've owned the Samsung Galaxy Tab2 7.0 for a few years now. It always loses the wifi connection in my home.

I even added another router (DIR622) as an access point in my home. However, it still keeps dropping.

Is there anything I can do to improve the connection? The router is only a few feet away in the same room so I know that's not the issue.

Or is this just a known issue with this model? Not sure if I should purchase another model or not.

Only with your wifi at home? Then it's an issue with your wifi, house construction, environment (too much interference in the area), etc.

With all wifi signals? That could be just a loose antenna connection inside the tab. Or it could be a bad wifi radio. One is trivial, the other is expensive.
