Samsung Galaxy Wont Fully Turn on

I was sitting there and i locked my phone when i tried to press home button wouldn't turn on I took out battery and put back in and it loads the samsung galaxy screen then just shuts down. And does not read charger HELP

Welcome to Android Central! The battery might be failing--you could try a new battery.

You could also try booting into Recovery Mode and wiping the cache partition: Reset: Samsung Galaxy S 4 | T-Mobile Support
