OK first of all I bought this phone to try to make some money on it the Samsung illusion is stuck at the Samsung screen and won't go any farther I try to do a hard reset and it won't it asks if I want to download a custom os and that's it any advise is to to if the phone has been rooted or bricked thanks

You bought a phone in 2013 (a time when 4.1 is already outdated) running 2.3 to make money on it? What was the plan?

As for your problem, what method did you use to attempt to install a custom ROM?

Well just alittle bit of money I sell on eBay some but I held the volume down and power button down and it asked me if I wanted to install custom os. Later I held both up and down and power bottom got it to the boot loader and did a hard reset and still is stuck at Samsung start up screen any ideas what is wrong with it
