I recently bought a secondhand samasune galaxy 6. All was fine for the first week, then the samsung internet app started opening itself and displaying ads. I never had this problem on my old phone, and i haven't used any websites or apps that weren't on my old phone. With the exception of using messenger lite instead of regular messenger. I've tried a bunch of different things and can't get rid of the ads. I have tried:
1. Scanning with malware bytes and cc cleaner. Nothing detected
2. Factory reset. Still getting them.
3. I still get them in safe mode
4. Messenger lite uninstalled
5. Cleaned my cache/data in the samsung internet app through settings
6. Cleared my browser history/cookies/cache in samsung internet browset
7. Installed a popup blocker for samsung internet
8. Reset my google ad id
At this point i don't know what I've missed to make the ads go away. Any suggestions would be very appreciated!
