Samsung j3 broken screen

[Android Central Question]

I bought a factory refurbished j3 sky off eBay from samsung. With the intention of rooting it my neighbor broke his phone so I let him borrow it and he sat on it now the screen is black. Is it worth fixing or should I buy a new phone to play with. P.S. it was a root or brick phone never was activated

I don't think anyone here can judge whether it would be worth fixing, since we don't know why the screen is black.

Welcome to Android Central! I think the lesson here is not to let your neighbor have anything easily breakable.

If he sat on the phone to cause the screen to fail, it could be that the screen needs to be replaced, or it might just be a loose connection. You could bring it to a repair shop to diagnose the problem.
