Before the 5.0 update a long press on a letter on samsung stock keyboard would give you the secondary choice visible on the keyboard. For example long press k to get (. Now it gives at least 2 choices per letter, sometimes more. I always and only want the first choice. I do not want to have to hit the popup to choose. Is there a setting to get rid of this?

When I want @ I don't want to have to choose it from a list of weird foreign letters I never use.

You cant change this. It's a stock part of the application. Try installing swiftkey or another keyboard app. They are generally better anyway

I have it but have always preferred the Sammy keyboard until this 5.0 change. It never displayed choices before. You just got the character shown in the upper right.

Sadly we don't always like the changes they make. Someone out there might be thrilled they made this an option!

Is there any way to make the SwiftKey keyboard to take up less space in landscape mode?

Is there any way to get Smart Keyboard to use voice input from microphone symbol? It won't work.

Swiftkey is a keyboard I personallu recommend, just because of its word prediction accuracy alone.

There is a way to resize Swift key in landscape mode.

All you have to is long press the options in landscape mode to change the size, see attached image.
