samsung kies

Do I really need it? I've had it installed since I've had my samsung galaxy s2 but I never use it. If I want to transfer things to my s4 mini I use dropbox which I find far more useful. I'm thinking of uninstalling kies from my laptop. Can anyone advise me on if I should do this or not?

Welcome to the forums.
My opinion is that Kies is good for one thing: backing up what is already on your phone that it can back up, texts, photos, etc...other than that it is worthless.

So I can delete it then? All my photos music etc is backed up on my laptop.
