Samsung Messages looks To Be Back

fwiw, unlocked S24U on AT&T: so I looked at the settings on the Samsung Messages app and saw that RCS/Advanced Settings was there and toggled on. when I set the app as my default, RCS went away. AT&T still not allowing that with the Samsung app....at least not carrier branded.

Thanks for confirming, the US unlocked versions didn't get chat with Samsung messages but now I see it on my unlocked T-Mobile.

I was having an issue with getting my RCS to work on my S25U after I had to do a wipe and restore. It wasn't working for a bit until I got it to work... this is what I posted in another thread about what I did to get it to work. I am also unlocked on AT&T.

"Looks like I was able to get it to work again. I went into Samsung Messages, changed input method to Automatic. Then went into Google Messages, uninstalled last update, closed both apps. Opened Google Messages, turned off RCS. Went to Samsung Messages, tried to force the registration there. It was blacked out. Restarted Google Messages, turned on RCS Chat, and (I think this was the important part) manually verified my phone number. Switched to Samsung Messages as my default, registered RCS, and it worked."

TL;DR: go into Google Messages, Uninstall Updates. Close Googles Messages. Restart Google Messages, go to RCS, verify your phone number manually. Switch to Samsung Messages as default, register RCS.
