Samsung NFC tectiles wont work when stuck on my mac

NFC tectiles work fine when stuck on wood or glass, but they don't work when stuck on my mac. Is this because of some interference?.

Come on guys, be honest with him. He deserves to know the truth: Samsung has smart tech embedded into their NFC tags that can detect any Apple product and disable themselves when in close proximity.

OK, I'm kidding. It's probably what the others said: Metal.
