Samsung note 2

I liked the fact that its coming eariler, and the larger size. I was very close to getting the Note 1 but will wait it out until the the Note 2.

But.... still broke down and bought the Nexus 7 tablet. Of course this is just for home use, but will satisfy my sizeitus urges.

MINORRON.. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!!

Oh God Yes Thank You.. for catching that information.. And it makes perfect sense STEAL MORE OF APPLE'S MONEY! and get the G-Note 2 in the streets before apple even knew what hit'em... I sure as hell can wait 90 days.. I was thinking of going with an International S3 but the G-Note because of it's size has always been my 1st choice in phones.. I hope VZW gets in on this so I can keep my unlimited data but if not I will hand them the E.T.F. and head to the carrier that is wise enough to carry the G-Note 2. :)

Wowsers, thank you, thank you, thank you for this info! :)

I've been in the same situation as the OP. Now a confirmation of larger display and sooner release is more than music to my ears; it is also vision to my eyes--because I have glaucoma and now can barely see to text on my little 4.3" HTC Inspire display. I so look forward to a 5.5" display and less eyestrain because my cell is used more for texting than anything else. :) :)

Come on, September, come on!

Hey, preordered here too. Don't consider it a break down, but rather keeping pace with modern technological needs. :D

I hope the article is dead wrong. I didn't get the S3 because I didn't want a narrower phone. That's the only reason. What would be the purpose of making it like the S3 when there is already an S3. So, the difference will be the pen and a drop more speed? I think Note fans want a bigger phone in width too (same size & aspect as now) so that it's more like a tablet they can use as a phone. There are so many applications that make the width so alluring, like Excel, Word, browsing the net and anything you have to read.

I saw and held the S3 at Time Sq, in NYC and I didn't like it because it was too narrow. If the article is correct, I hope HTC or Motorola will pick up the dropped ball and run with it because that phone will not be for me.

Just got my GS3....like it, but the screen is tall and narrow. I guess good for movies, but I'm looking for a substantial screen. I had a HTC thunderbolt and this phone is the same width just taller. I'd be bummed if they beefed up the screen size on the note 2 just to make it tall and narrow. I want to really see a web page, etc.

There is no need to wait for a device with a bigger screen that you can easily read with poor eyesight. Get the Handcent SMS 4.3 text app now. You can change the font size to whatever you need to be able to see your texts easily. This text app has many features to customize your texting.

Thank you, SIr, for this info! Didn't know any texting app owned modifiable fonts. :)

About six or nine months ago, it was rumored that the Galaxy Note, first generation, was coming out on Verizon and would be named The Journal. Obviously, that didn't happen.

So now the Journal appears again as a possibility for Note 2 on Sprint! It's a fitting name.

Its nice there getting the note but its almost a year old. They should have pushed for the note 2. Since Samsung has enough say so to get the same phone on all carriers I'm sure the note 2 will do the same as the gs3

Has anyone seen leaked frame or anything showing the components? I don't really want a Samsung phone OR the Amoled screen so I probably shouldn't be giving it serious thought, but.... if they don't screw it up with a home button like they did the SGS3, it 'could' work. Everything I see says the Note 2 will follow SGS3 form, but hopefully that's not entirely the case.

I'm at a point where none of the new phones have wow'd me yet, so for the first time in lotsa years I may sit through my upgrade until next year's crop.

C'mon HTC... hurry up with your phablet and a phabulous LCD screen like the One!

I can't wait for this phone to come out!! I REALLY wanted to get the Note but they were only available at ATT and Tmobile and since I use Verizon, I waited and got the Galaxy S3, which I love but still... maybe I should have waited a while longer to see this one come out... :'(
