Samsung pay and activating card

I've had Samsung pay on my Note 5 and now I'm trying to add the same card on my edge. In the past, I've been able to verify card via text very easy. Now the app wants me to call bank. I do this and the lady on thee other end precedes to ask me for account, or social. I start giving account info, then she wants my DOB, then mothers maiden name. I'm not usually a paranoid person but that doesn't seem legit. Anyone else have to go through this? I did hang up before finishing FYI.

Same here wasn't able to get any besides AMEX

In that scenario aren't you calling the bank, if so I wouldn't worry about it as long as you are calling the bank number. The text message confirmation worked for me though.

Same here worked fine for me. But if you are the one calling get the bank I wouldn't worry. But if you were directed to call a specific number that might be scary.

It was a button on the app directing me to the number so.....
