Samsung pay on gear s3 Canada?

So I'm super late to the party, but I just got my gear s3 and I have CIBC. I can add my CIBC card to my samsung pay app on my phone, but it won't let me add it to the pay app for gear. It keeps telling me
"Card Not Supported
Your card issuer does not support this card for Samsung Pay yet."

Any recommendations?

I bought my Gear s3 from Best buy Canada and found out Spay doesn't work on so I investigated it further and found out you can change the country code on it to get it to show up and work. I changed the code and spay showed up and added my credit card and went to try and use it at Tims and it wouldn't work. Where are you having luck using it?? and no luck using it??? Maybe I have to change something else to get it to work. Any Ideas

P.S. If you research it and find it on how to change your country code make sure to follow the steps and you use the correct programming for the watch you have cause each country has different model #'s (Correct me if I'm wrong) from what I gathered. The programming (software you have to download) is different for each model #. Even the Frontier and the Classic here in canada have different model #'s and require different downloads. I will not be responsible if you brick your watch. Its all on you to be comfortable doing this. Attached is the link on how to do this for the Canadian Frontier only.

As of today the SPay finally works on the Gear S3 in Canada. You need to update all of the apps on both the phone and the watch. Then you will be able to use it. Yeah!

This is very welcome news. Been waiting for months and finally used Samsung Pay on my Gear S3 for the first time today! Very easy to use and payment went through on first attempt.
