Just noticed this today. It seems Samsung just cut their reward system points in HALF across all levels. Sneaky and very disappointing.

I now only get 20 points for each purchase on Platinum level vs 40 points. That sucks.Screenshot_20180217-134204.jpg

Yea I noticed that the other day. They were probably paying out too much lol. Still is a great feature. Especially if you have a cash back earning card you can use in it.

I don't blame em.. They even increased the points price for free money and stuff. A couple months back I got my second pair of Bluetooth headphones for 10k points. Now the same ones are 20k. No complaint's here cause it's free I now have a pair of level U and gear circles 😁. I'm still racking up the points! Have over 12k points waiting for some more free goodies. I LOVE SAMSUNG PAY!

Yep. And knowing samsung there will be a promotion again where things are half off or discounted. So just save the points and wait. It will come.

They also increased how many points it takes to get rewards card. 12500 for a $50 card used to be around 10000.

What is not cool is cutting the reward points per transaction in HALF without announcing that to their customers. What a joke.

Just noticed this as well, I did get an email or notification of new terms and conditions for samsung pay probably most people didn't read them even if they got the notification but it does suck, combined with the "increased price" for rewards now it would take around 3.5 years to me to get a $100 dollars so in average now I will be getting $2.4 a month or 8 cents a day for using samsung pay, but oh well it's better than nothing

I got that email too. Who reads that stuff lol. Also, reward points expire after a year, so no, you can't build up rewards over 3.5 years. This program with cutting reward per transaction in HALF and increasing redemption points is making it almost usless.

It would be nice for the conditions to have stayed the same, but I'd use Samsung Pay without and rewards at all, so I don't really have any complaints about getting some sort of reward for doing something I'd do anyway.

I love using it. Still earn cash back with two cards I use in it

Me too. I need to see what kind of points I have, I never check.
On the cards? I know in Samsung I've got about 4800. The card I've been using most is my PayPal Mastercard debit. I get about a 2% or so cash back monthly. Last month I earned about $23. I seem to get more cash back with my Capital One. May use that more often too.

Oh, I see, I was talking about in rewards points. I don't have any cards that give cash back. I need to look into that PayPal thing.

The PayPal card is great. And if you sell anything online and get money through paypal ypu can instantly transfer it to your bank if you wanted to

While it does suck you can't really complain. It's free. Points and rewards are free. While i would like to have them stay it is what it is.

It's still 100% more than the rest of us get with the Rewards System being U.S only as far as I'm aware? That's the other main reason why Samsung Pay makes little sense for the rest of the world
