Samsung Pay vs Android Pay -- which one are you using?

Samsung Pay works better than Android Pay and Apple pay by a country mile and a half!
Probably the most underrated feature of Samsung devices.

I should have added that I use American Express and Chase. And it worked fabulously overseas where actually there are way more NFC terminals and my Chase credit card has no foreign transaction fees so hooray!

Do you have any credit cards that are supported? I know Capital One works I use that one quite often on there
Nope. No credit cards. Had a couple a few years back but they got paid off and shredded. Cash for everything now or occasionally debit card. Would love if my bank was supported but in reality I probably don't swipe a card often enough to earn all the cool rewards anyway

None. Sorry for the useless response. Given a choice between the two, I'd probably go with the one that I can trust more.

I always go inside to pay for gas so I can use the phone. I know it's less convenient but I still earn my rewards and I just enjoy it LOL
Nice thought but I usly buy at Costco weekly no inside and I hate using my debit card SP spoiled me and i fell transactions are safer with SP to

Samsung pay! I don't ever bother turning on NFC and I never even go for the NFC part of the card readers. MST is so much better.

I've decided on neither because I'll root the minute it's available. Bixby and the overload of ads has to go. terrible.

I must be doing something wrong. On the occasions that I have to use MST rather than NFC, the transaction is successful, however, it does not register in Samsung Pay. I've tried three separate transactions on three separate days. Nothing. Any clues?

Android Pay every day. Never used Samsung pay as there is no need, AP works flawlessly. Plus only 6 small banks supporting it and almost no incentives.

Been using AP for a good few handsets now and never had an issue.

My favorite part of the day is cashiers telling me they don't take Apple Pay, me replying that I have a Samsung, them STARTING to say that they don't take Android Pay either, but not even finishing the sentence before Samsung Pay had completed the transaction. LOL

"Oh we don't take tha...", and then they stop talking and stare in awe as the receipt prints. I love it!

I've been using Samsung Pay for two years. At first it was fun to make a big deal about it and see the reaction on the checker's face. I got over that. I now just use it and most checkers don't even notice I'm doing it. It just works.

I've used it on Note 5, Note 7, S7 Edge, S8+ and now Note 8. You find out the sweet spot on the pinpad for your favorite stores and it never has an issue.

Yep. Samsung pay is amazing. Way more secure than using your card. Plus you earn points for free stuff which makes it even better.

While I do like them both, Samsung Pay can be used everywhere....it is rare to find a machine that won't accept it - often to the surprise of the person at the register.

Most of the time, it isn't the machine, but rather the cashier. You'll tell them to do whatever they need to do to take a credit card and they stare at you. Then you scan the watch or phone and it doesn't work. You get that "I told you so" look and then when you hand them your card, they type something into the machine. Kinda frustrating. Anyway Samsung Pay is the way to go. Especially with the S3. It is also much more secure than using your card. The camera on the Note 8 can take a video from 15 feet away that can be used to read all of the necessary information on your card to use it. They can't pull that on you using Samsung Pay, or Android Pay.

Today when I paid for gas inside it went through flawlessly with my Note 8 and the cashier said Samsung is the only one that works on here and he smiled

The funny thing is I frequent the local Applebee's for lunch during work here and there and they've come to recognize me as the lady that pays with her phone LOL. Their registers have the slider on the side of the monitor
