samsung power pack

I've just bought the samsung 9000 mah power pack for my note pro 12.2 , it only charges when the screen is on ! As soon as i turn off the screen, 5 seconds and the charging is disconnected. It also charges well when the device is switched off. Can anyone help ?

Sounds like it may be the battery pack. My Anker Astro 2 has no problems charging the Note Pro using a USB 2.0 cable regardless of power on/off state of the tablet and I am not aware of any settings available on the device to change charging behavior.
